So here we go.

When it comes to musicians, I usually don't listen to more than one or two of their songs. It's the same case with OneRepublic, but the two songs of theirs that I've listened to our definitely worth a look, "Secrets" & "I Lived". Anyways, onto the connection. With "I Lived", you see that the song has a very upbeat, but at the same time triumphant tone to it, and that can be seen in Phil. It shows that there is opportunity everywhere in life, and that if you happen to get some of that opportunity you should take it, and that's what Phil's mostly about...seizing the day and finding adventure in mundane life. We write our own stories, and if we don't, then who will? Also, the song has a message about living with and/or through pain. I get a vague undertone of how there is cruelty and hardship in life, but sometimes the way to brush that pain away is with a smile and some optimism. There is pain that may never be healed, and it can leave scars on you forever, but if you choose to make the best of things, it'll feel like there is hope in the world. This added to Phil's already established cartoon immunity to physical pain. It also gave me an idea of what Phil's true sense of morality and view upon the world today is like.

So I have two songs here...both from RWBY because reasons. Both fit directly into Kiyoshi's character development. First off, with "Mirror Mirror" it perfectly displays how alone and insecure Kiyoshi truly is and how due to her loneliness she's continuing to shut the rest of the world out, including her own family history as she sees it as a hopeless effort to continue searching. However, there is one exception. Phil. And the song "Dream Come True" explains why. Kiyoshi is the way she is because everyone in the anime district views her as an outcast. They're unaware of where she came from, why she's there, and as such, they're somewhat at a loss with her, so they just choose not to connect with her. She's left with nothing to live for except her Sensei, until Phil comes along. When he shows up in Kiyoshi's life, she finally sees someone she can talk to, someone she can explore and enjoy with, someone she can call a friend...someone she can love.
3.
Otto here may be a grade-b handyman, but he's certainly a grade-a optimist. Behind Phil, he's probably the most mellow and happiest guy in Sketch-World. Basically, Otto lives in a situation nobody in this world wants to live in...a homeless world. As shelter he uses garbage to construct a little shack for himself to spend his days. Yet through this life that would make you or me cringe, Otto keeps his head up through it all. "Keep Your Head Up" shows how perky and hopeful Otto can be. He lives his life surrounded by garbage and tools, but he retains a positive outlook in the world. "At least I have a roof over my head, as I always say." A direct quote from him. If anything he shows how we sometimes take the life for granted and how we can always think things are at their bleakest when they really aren't. Things could always be worse, so we should really be grateful for what we have. Otto has nearly nothing...and he's happy with it. Nothing can persuade him otherwise.
So here we go.

Tis the season! I know I haven't been very active in regards to uploading anything recently, but I hope to change that soon. Anyways, I just wanted to wish everybody a Merry Christmas; go on and spend time with your family, being thankful, giving gifts, and all that winter-y jazz! Here's to a wonderful winter! ^^

Next thing, I'm unfortunately not entering Cascade Cabaret. Yeah. Not really much of a loss for the group. I was showing no commitment nor determination towards my work. I had a whole story planned I would've hoped to share, but I wasn't feeling up for it. I'm sorry to let the crew of the Cabaret down like this when I promised so much and gave so little. I should just wait to enter an OCT when I'm better prepared and le
