Phil Smiles

Guess who got a re-design?  ;D  Yeah.  I'm going to be straight here.  I LOVED Phil's original design.  It has a lot of sentimental value to me.  (So I'll be keeping it around.)  >u<  Though I thought it was high time to pick up my pencil and draw Phil myself.  (Many, many thanks to the great Memoski for being cool and kind enough to draw the original Phil.)

Age: Appears 10-14.  (In reality, David created him 15 years ago.)
Height: 4'5".
Weight: 87 lbs.
Likes: Paddle-ball, making friends, trail mix, various kinds of fruit juice, adventuring, nature, having fun, happiness, hugs, & cartoon gags.
Dislikes: Injustice, hatred, depression, betrayal, seeing his friends hurt, feeling sick, the dark (more what could lurk in the dark), and inactivity.

Origin: A young boy by the name of David Tucker was always an active drawer.  From a very young age, he could always be found with a pencil and paper drawing goofy doodles and sketches.  As he grew, he decided to make a collection of drawings that he assembled onto a single wall in his room.  These many drawings became what is known as Sketch-World today.  And with the birth of Sketch-World, came the creation of its single most iconic and happy inhabitant...Phil Smiles.

Bio: Ever since the creation of Sketch-World, Phil has been drawn more times than any other character.  David always found him to be his signature character.  Almost like the Mickey Mouse to his Walt Disney.  Despite his significance in Sketch-World, Phil was actually never given a proper background, personality, or even a home.  He was just a character drawn to be put into all kinds of scenarios.  Over time, Phil became curious of the world around him and what could be done.  So whenver David wasn't around, Phil always set off on his own misadventures and met many different people along the way.  His travels took him to many different places, and gave him a reason to exist.  He was finding himself.  Phil went from being a normal stand-in to a jovial and curious goofball that loved helping people.  Now Phil still remains as one of David's favorite characters to draw, but in his spare time, he goes out to explore and find those in need, because when Phil Smiles shows up...there's no doubt that you'll have some fun and be a little bit happier.

Personality: Phil's mostly (if not always) happy-go-lucky choosing to look at the brighter side of things. Whenever a depressing or rage-enducing situation comes to put him down, he just bounces back with a positive smile & skip in his step.  Not only that, but his imagination is limitless.  His overall optimistic outlook and chipper demeanor gives him an active sense of creativity.  He always believes that no matter how obscure or odd a situation is, it can be turned into an exciting and life-changing adventure.  One last thing to note, Phil is EXTREMELY protective of friends.  Once he's deemed someone a friend, he'll do whatever he can to help and do what's best for that friend.  Should they be harmed by someone or something, he'll go ballistic.  Another thing that will really drive him over the edge is if a friend actually betrays him and reveals they were never his friend to begin with.

Abilites, Powers, and Skills: Phil doesn't look like much, but in reality, he's quite an unpredictable one.  He's pretty much the living embodiment of every visual cartoon gag that ever was.  He can pull out an assortment of tools from behind his back.  If he were to be crushed, sliced, burned, shot, or electrocuted, he would merely appear injured for a second and re-appear fine the very next.  His body can alter itself ala squashing and stretching in any way fit for a situation.  (Examples: Should he need to run, his legs will begin spinning extremely fast ala Sonic or the Roadrunner.  If he needs strength, he can simply rip off his shirt and appear buff as a body-builder.  Should he need to fit into a tight spot, he can take apart his limbs and head to fit them individually into the space and re-assemble them on the other side.)  It's also notable that he's a champion at paddle-ball.  Lastly, his greatest asset.  Hidden underneath his signature beanie, Phil has a mystical pencil that he found near his tree one day as a gift.  It holds the power to re-shape, alter, and fix anything in Sketch-World via erasing and re-drawing.  Ever since he's gotten a hold of it, Phil's used it to expand the world around him and open up the opportunities for more misadventure!
